Dr. Nelson is Presidential Professor of City and Metropolitan Planning the the University of Utah, where he directs the Metropolitan Research Center.  He is known nationally for his pioneering work on identifying and assessing the implications of American mega trends.  His work has appeared on the covers of USA Today and The Wall Street Journal, and has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and CBS Evening News.  Newsweek magazine has hailed Dr. Nelson's vision of rebuilding American's built landscape as second among the top ten most important national trends to watch.
