Laboratories: Overview

The University of Arizona College of Architecture and Landscape Architecture Material Labs are an extension of our pedagogical mission to provide environments to explore, model, fabricate, and test design ideas.  The Material Labs comprise a 7,000 sq. ft. facility providing a professional quality environment and equipment accommodating a wide variety of materials including wood, metal, concrete, ceramics, glass, plastic, and digital fabrication. The Lab has wireless internet access, a loading dock, oversize exterior doors, and indoor and outdoor cranes to facilitate moving large objects.

Hours.  The Labs are open to all CALA students and faculty from  8 am. to midnight, Monday through Friday, depending on monitor availability.  Limited access is allowed for non-CALA students, faculty, researchers and professionals.  Please contact the Labs supervisor for additional information  (musters@email.arizona.edu) .

Policies.  The Labs are governed by policies that ensure the safety and appropriate use of the facility for all its users.  All users of the Labs are responsible for understanding and complying with these policies.
